Justice
Attendees
found themselves having a jolly good time at
The
Legal Registry booth during the
annual
convention in Orlando
June
27th-29th.
As attendees posed behind the
"robed and powder-wigged judge" a persona of a Barrister of the Inns of Court
quickly developed. While some were
reluctant or a bit shy at first, many came back to take the "gavel in hand." For a brief moment, the mock up courtroom scene became the House of Lords as
The Legal Registry snapped a souvenir
picture. As each walked away to share
their "evidence" in hand with family, friends and peers, the lines grew
throughout the days. Some returned for
second copies - one for home and one for their office. While in reality many of the participants
practice in front of the bench the scene became quite popular with those who
are officially behind the bench. Word
has it that some copies now decorate the desks in chambers across the state.
Silliness aside, we commend the
members of the Florida Bar for their commitment to excellence and their
dedication to the practice of law. We
were honored to be a vendor and participant of this great event. The 2008 Annual Florida Bar Convention will take place June 18-21 at the Boca Raton Resort & Club.
